Word of Introduction

Due to the Ministry of Health Care regulation, all group events where over 30 people are present.are forbidden, which includes the events organized by the Czech Society of Cardiology. The Annual Congress of the Czech Society of Cardiology will be postponed to a later date and you will be informed at the web pages. Current information and information on any postponements will be added as needed.

Thanks for understanding.

Dear ladies and gentlemen, dear members of the Czech Society of Cardiology, dear guests,

We would like to invite you to the XXVIIIth Annual Congress of the Czech Society of Cardiology with an international participation, which will be held on September 13-16, 2020, again in the premises of the Brno Exhibition Ground. The professional part of the Congress will be traditionally composed mainly of blocks proposed by associations and work groups of our society. However, a significant part will be formed by blocks with scientific presentations of the participants; as usual, the deadline for their submission will be January 10, 2020. The program will again feature sections compiled by friendly specialist societies involved in the care of patients with cardiovascular diseases.

More interactive sections should appear in the programme, as we very much desire a greater involvement of all participants. Naturally, blocks designed primarily for young cardiologists in pre-attestation preparation will be included as well. Additionally, there should be a rich participation of foreign guests.

It is not possible to physically attend all interesting presentations and blocks in the course of the Congress. Therefore, we are preparing access to the presentations, which will be found at the CSC website in the section Kardio365 with their authors’ permission. We are also preparing richer media coverage of the entire congress and we will be happy if you can help and provide feedback on how you perceive it.

Also this year we will seek maximum use of electronic media including an innovated electronic program. For those of you who do not favour this trend, the printed program will still be available in a limited amount. However, we would be happy if the use of electronic media prevailed, with respect to the economical and ecological burden.

As traditionally, the entire congress will be spiced with other activities, such as Jiří Toman Cardio Run, with new categories this year.

We thank all those who will be actively involved in the preparation of the Congress and we firmly believe that its programme will be of interest to you. We are looking forward to meeting you in Brno.
