Dear colleagues, dear friends,
Let us invite you to the XXIVth Annual Congress of the Czech Society of Cardiology, which will be held in Brno on May 15–18, 2016. Naturally, we wish that as many as possible of you come (there were around 4 000 participants in the last years); we are looking forward to meeting you and we hope that the days you will spend in Brno during the CSC Annual Congress will be, as every year, filled with lots of useful and practical information as well as pleasant social experiences.
This year we would like to ask you for the greatest possible active participation – the deadline for abstract registration is January 10, 2016, and it is to be done as in the past years through our innovative web portal www.kardio-cz.cz .
The CSC Annual Congress 2016 will have a slightly innovated structure – we will strive for a compact program filled with maximum educational comprehensive contributions and practical information. Traditionally, the program will start on Sunday afternoon. In contrast to the previous years, even Sunday will be rich with contributions followed by the already traditional live broadcasts from selected workplaces. All work groups and newly formed associations of the CSC, together with the invited professional medical societies, will be involved in the preparation of the professional program, program blocks of all sorts of formats with invited postgraduate presentations by our leading experts. These prepared program blocks should cover the entire range of modern cardiology as well as the associated diseases, and are the basis of a high professional level of postgraduate education, provided by the annual meeting to all its participants.
"The Best of Czech Cardiology" block will again publicly present the papers of Czech cardiologists that have been published in prestigious international journals. We will continue the tradition of the competition of young cardiologists, this time with a new format and a significant position in the Congress program.
We sincerely hope that we will be able, with your cooperation, to prepare a highly pleasant framework for this most important scientific and educational forum. We are looking forward to your participation.
